Love this app -

All function has been restored -

Its back!

It took a little over a month but it looks like the devs finally listened. App is back to being great and I can recommend it again!

Thank you

The new version is fantastic! Thanks for fixing it. Love this app.

Update: Back and better than ever!

UPDATED REVIEW: its back and it works again! This is one of the best apps on the App Store. Ill keep this review brief because Im excited to catch up on some saved articles. My previous reviews are below and are not applicable to the current version: Update: Reporting this app and developer to Apple along with my email receipt from my original premium purchase. The button to restore your purchase of QuickRead Premium still does not work. A message to the developer(s): please make sure to test your final builds on actual iOS devices before releasing the updates. Simply running the build in Xcodes device simulator is not sufficient.

Well, this app is a scam now

This app use to be pretty great. It had good functionality and wasnt too expensive. But now, whoops youve got to pay $9.99 more for the functionality you already paid for and a few tweaks. Ridiculous. Why stop there devs? Why not release another update with marginally "new" features and then lock the "new" and old features behind another $9.99 paywall? Wait! I know! Do it every few months! Great business model, Im sure you wont alienate your customers at all. I understand that devs have got to make money, but guys, you are doing it wrong. Update! The app has been updated! But not one of these issues has been addressed. Dont worry, theyve heard our comments though... theyre just going to ignore them. You still have to pay again for what you already paid for. Could this "update" be a lame attempt to hide their current update one star rating? Maybe. Well, let me get the well deserved one star ball rolling again. New update! Theyve heard our concerns! Theyre still ignoring them... boo. Youre still getting a one star rating. Stop trying to shake off your cascade of one star ratings with new "updates". Give back to your customers the functionality that you are trying to charge them for a second time. Then buy a book on business ethics. Give it a read. You might find some interesting stuff. New update! 100% sarcasm free this time. It looks like the app is back to what it was before the series of updates noted above. This is a great speed reading app and assuming no further update shenanigans ensue, I can recommend it without reservation.

Yeah!

I used this for about a year ( not sure when, but close). The recent update forced me to delete it. I use feedly for my news, save to clipboard and then read selected articles in read quick. When this stopped working, the developer contacted me after my complaints. Since it now works, highly recommend this app. It may not teach you to speed read, but definitely helps you read and catch up on news, interests and efficiently use your time.

Better than before!

I bought this app over a year ago and got my speed up to 1000wpm in a few months and periodically came back to the app for practice. Now that premium features have been integrate into the standard purchase, Im amazed. Im reading a little slower with multiple words, but Im so excited to develop the skills further! It is definitely exceeding my expectations. I will certainly recommend this to my friends. I look forward to many months of pleasure and progression.

Updated- features restored, Finally! DONT UPDATE, Update Removes Premium Features

*They finally did what they said they would- restored features that many of us had already purchased. Great app, three stars for terrible customer service and poor decision making, will reevaluate rating as trust is restored. *Updated once again, developer has submitted multiple updates (this is either the third or fourth) to "address bugs" and yet nothing changes. After stealing from paying customers theyre manipulating the review system in an attempt to cover up their shady behavior. They should be ashamed and embarrassed.* ***Update to review. The developers have just updated the app to address bug issues but none of the issues with the recent update are listed. It seems as if they really are removing features that many of us paid for previously. Stealing from their customers and then asking for more money! Ive emailed them and they have not responded. It seems like they "updated" the app in order to remove the poor reviews that they received due to their last update.*** I had previously purchased Readquick and Premium features and although the formatting for the iPhone 6 Plus was off, it connected to pocket and functioned well. I was really excited for the update, particularly additional words on the screen, formatting correction and Evernote integration, however the App will not allow me to restore my previous purchase, the "restore" link doesnt respond (the full word isnt even visible, instead "re...re" is listed in the top right corner of the premium purchase screen). Now Im limited to three articles a day? I hope this issue is simply a bug and is addressed speedily and that its not an under handed attempt to extort more money from previously loyal customers.

Thank you for listening to our feed back!

Increased my reading speed immediately. Especially love the Instapaper integration.

Finally fixed it.

A lot of the issues have been resolved including the premium upgrade issue if you had bought it already.

Developer listens

App is always improving. Love developers that listen to their audience and improving the apps theyve developed

Swipe is backwards

What about adding the Spritz techno? I love the font they use here, but would like the word placement to adjust to put the word not in the middle of the screen, but at the perfect place for comprehension. And lets bump the speed up above 1000 wpm, please. I like swipe technology on the iPhone for video and audio and it makes sense for this app also. But the instructions say to swipe left to right and the app only works when you swipe the other way, which feels weird to me since the direction is as if I am holding a mouse instead of touching the screen. So that needs to be fixed. Seems it should also offer a swipe forward. But why just 5 words? It should be configurable for one, two, and three finger swipes in any direction and for any number of words I want to move. Also, I should not need to stop the playback to see the status or to change the speed of the playback. Would like to have the speed slider click into place at each 100 level mark, maybe 50. I see no reason for the slider to move in between since it it too hard to hit the perfect number. For an exact number, let me type it but when I just want to switch between 500 and 300, the slider is okay if it only had stop points built in and if it were on screen all the time. In addition, in landscape on iPhone I can probably show 2 or 3 words at once. I would like to see it offer me a configuration setting for that and perhaps for two or three lines at the same time. I think I need a sepia option also because even the black night reading mode gives a halo effect after each word flashes and this makes it hard to distinguish each word. What do I like? The integration with Pocket and Readability is good. And having a program on the iPhone that is like AceReader on the Mac and PC platforms is really nice. I like that it shows me how long an article will take to read, although on the iPhone I cant seem to find a way to change the speed and see the timings of all my list to read change. To do that, I need to slide back the menu, which hides the timings and change the wpm and then go back again. So this needs some ergonomic changes also. I might also like to highlight a list of articles and tell it how much time I have and let it pick the right speed.

Excellent for knocking out all those saved articles.

Love this app. It is easy to use and helps me get through dozens of articles in a short amount of time. A suggestion: It would be nice to have "status bar" to let you know how far into the article you are/how much time you have left.

Non-stop crashes

Each time I add an article and attempt to view it, the app crashes. Also, my pocket articles are not viewable. Also, I have deleted my Twitter account, yet cant remove it from the app settings page. I have removed and re-installed the app in hopes that this would fix things, but no luck.

Great

Best speed reading app. The only flaw is that on night mode, the wpm slider is invisible.

Wont import articles. Search is useless

Piece of crap

Great app, maybe they can make it for Apple Watch?

This is a clean and fast app that can really help you with reading. I love reading. But sometimes I cant do it openly and have to be secretive. You dont have to worry about text size because its only one word at a time.

Great app

Great app and a fan of Clayton Morris
